Dear Lily, your videos saved my life. From seeing my favourite teen heroes killed off in Avengers Academia: Arena and Avengers Undercover; Spider-Man's marriage erased in One More Day; Cass Cain turned into a kill-happy James Bond-villain in Robin: One Year Later; my mind snapped. The world was destroyed. But when I saw your videos, the light returned. The way you smeared Rebecca Sugar as a sexual predator, accused her of being two-bit fascist Nazi apologist, it was beyond beautiful. It was magnificent, divine, perfection in the highest order. What I had witnessed was akin to watching Michelangelo painting the celling of the Sistine Chapel. A masterwork to humanity's greatness. And the masterwork awoke a great truth in me: Always call people who displease you ,even the slightest, a Nazi. From my mind came back painful memories: Jason Aaron forcing me to watch him run over my school science project again, again and again; Jonathan Hickman flushing my stamp collection down the toilet then making me drink from it; Matthew Rosenburg and Ed Brisson putting ink in my underwear and forcing me to wear them; Tom Taylor and Tom King ruining my birthday by sending unfunny clowns to torment me; Donny Cates making me lick a frozen lamp-post only to be stuck to it; Brian Michael Bends forcing me to eat my own goldfish to the tune of Combine Harvester; Dan Slott gluing me to couch so he could torture me with his bagpipe playing; Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV and Joshua Williamson gluing my furniture to the celling, taking a massive Taco-Bell desecration in the middle of the room then demanding me to pay my entire livelihood for it. It was from these traumatic recollections I realized more great truths: Aaron and Hickman ghost-co-wrote Avengers Academy: Arena and Avengers Undercover; Bendis, Cates and Slott ghost-co-wrote One More Day; Snyder, Tynion and Williamson ghost-co-wrote Robin: One Year Later. Even worse, they were allowed complete freedom from editors because, as you taught me, ever since the mid-90s, animation studios and comic companies stopped interference form higher-ups, allowing creators to do whatever they want. Producers and editors be damned. Ever since then, all cartoon and comic companies operate solely under the superstar creator/Auteur theory method. After all, if the likes of Spielberg, Scorsese and Coppola no longer have higher-ups to answer to, then means the same for all creators in all creative fields. You taught me that. Thanks to you, not only do I call Aaron, Hickman, Rosenburg, Brisson, Taylor, King, Benids, Cates, Slott, Snyder, Tynion, Williamson and other creators "hacks" but I also accuse them of being "perverts", "eugencists", "fascist enablers" and "Neo-Nazis". I even send them messages threating their lives. It is the most wonderful thing ever! Thank you, Lily. As a leftist, agnostic-atheist, transgender, First-Nations lesbian woman, you can do no wrong. You truly are our generation's Joan Of Arc!

rereading lily's letter to sirius:

starting off strong with 'dear', very formal letter writing but also kinda endearing depends how you look at it. BUT she follows with his 'padfoot' soo it's def endearing. it already shows just how close the two are from those two words.

i love how chill lily is about harry almost killing the cat and smashing a vase. she's so the fun mum. also petunia and lily still sending each other christmas presents, like why do i find that so sad/sweet?? idk. i love their relationship sm it's so interesting. and ik some people are gonna be thinking 'oh petunia probably regifted the ugly vase' but no. i think she went shopping specifically for lily and picked it out thinking it looked great (she's got horrible taste)

btw if you're not british, "we've had a very quiet birthday tea", basically means like an afternoon tea. they're not just drinking tea, they do have tea but also some food (like lunchy food, sandwiches and cakes) and sit down at a table and chat basically. and harry will likely also be opening presents during it too

in light of the Anthony Gramuglia situation and in light of the knowledge that criticising Lily Orchard in any way will send her legions of zealots into an abusive tizzy, let it be known that I cannot fucking stand the person, behaviour, and opinions of Lily Orchard.

I find her views and behaviour repellent and repugnant, and I hope that she faces consequences for her alleged actions against all those she has wronged, including but not limited to Anthony Gramuglia. Also, her beliefs on media are deeply hypocritical given her actions and writings, and as asinine as they are ill-informed. She also has the gall to level accusations of transmisogyny as a shield against any and all criticisms, seemingly as though her behaviour is above reproach because she is trans.

I hope she begins reaping what she has sown. May every "fuck around" have a "find out."

James put on his coat. His stubble had started growing out, yet his glasses were as askew as they always were, a reminder that even though they were changing, at their core, they were still the same.

“I should be back in a few hours,” He said, kissing the top of Lily’s head and ruffling Padfoot’s fur as he ran a hand through his hair. “And then I’ll be home. For the time being.”

Lily hummed, turning her head to kiss his lips. “Take care,” She shouted, as James made his way to the door.

“I always do,” He grinned, blowing her one last kiss before closing the door behind him.

Padfoot nudged her with his snout. Lily looked down at him, grey eyes meeting her green ones.

“Did you want something?” She asked; she still found the Animagus thing amusing.

She had read about it, obviously, but she never considered the transformation process in itself; it was very complicated Transfiguration. Yet, who had considered it were her husband and his friends, who had managed to get the hang of the complicated magic at the age of fifteen, no less. The huge, black dog lying down on her couch, who had previously been napping, was Sirius. Peter was a rat, which seemed quite useless to Lily, and her husband was a bloody stag, out of all things, which had been amusing and how she finally understood the strange nicknames they had given each other.

March came with the blooming of flowers and the feeling of their baby starting to kick. In a rush of excitement, she and James had fully decorated their child’s bedroom in hues of blues and browns, because clearly, if both their parents liked those colours, they were bound to, too, right? And even if it wasn’t so, it wasn’t like changes were impossible. That night, they slept skin to skin and whispered to each other sweet nothings and everything.

Padfoot nudged her side with his snout, and Lily rubbed between his ears, the way James told her he liked it, which made him let out a pleased, low growl.

“Do you want to feel the baby kick?” She asked, looking down at him, although she wasn’t exactly sure whether Sirius — Padfoot — could understand her.

It seemed like he could, though, for he gingerly placed his head on her stomach and waited patiently. Lily smiled, petting the dark fur down his back and scratching him from time to time.

Suddenly, his head shot up, and he looked at Lily with his big, grey eyes. She hummed, smiling.

“Yeah, that’s them. You’re gonna be meeting them in no time, considering I’m about halfway through. Now,” She said, getting up and going to the kitchen, Padfoot following her, his tail eagerly wagging, “would you like something to eat?”
